Paying in a cheque online

I bank with Lloyds and I was wondering if there was any way of using a webcam to pay a cheque in. I have a Windows phone so can't get the banking app on my mobile. I suspect the answer is no but I thought I'd ask anyway.
Don't mess with pensioners.

You could post it to them with a paying in slip.
or have you any Lloyds envelopes and pay in at a Post Office.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

I thought that might be the case. I'm trying to charge an old ipad 2 so that I can download the app.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0

How much is your cheque for? There's some ridiculously low limit (not just at Lloyds) for the mobile cheque deposit. Last time I tried a couple of months ago, it was £500. So I had to deposit it in the old-fashioned way.0

It's £50. I just don't want to go out in the rain. It takes ages to go into the account if you pay at the Post Office and they never know what to do.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0

Did you manage to pay your cheque in?
The rather unhelpful FAQs say your iPad needs to be running a 'recent' IoS with no definition of 'recent'. So, whether you can use the app on your device or not, will depend on what version of IoS it will use.0 -
No. The ipad is a complete mystery to me. It belonged to my late husband. I can't download and install the banking app. It's possible I have actually downloaded it but I can't find it.
The last time I tried to pay something in at the Post Office it was a business account. They made a mistake on their keyboard and didn't know how to clear it. I ended up leaving the paying in book there as they had to ring head office and it would take around half an hour to get the help they needed. The only thing they could do was to ask the rest of the customers if they wanted to wait for half an hour or come back later. This is why I'm so reluctant. Also they managed to lose a large sum of money that was paid into the business account and it took a long time to sort it out. I think it was about £1700.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0 -
Lloyds app requires ios9 minimum so will not run on the only ios7 capable ipad 20
