Sun holiday cancellation

Morning all. I have booked a sun holiday through their 9.50 offer. In error I have selected an incorrect date, made payment and received the confirmation email. At which point I have realiswd my error. Totally accept its my fault and know I read the terms and conditions that state you can't cancel or amend the booking.
Upon realising my error which was only a meter of hors after the booking, I have phoned Sun Holidays who confirmed they are unable to cancel or move it. Does the consumer have no rights when they have made a simple error? All I want to do is move it a week later. Any thoughts??

The simple answer appears to be 'no' Many products booked at a distance, so not in a shop but online or by post must offer a 14-day cooling-off period but travel arrangements including accommodation bookings are specifically excluded from the law. The terms were clear before you booked, you have tried the 'goodwill' angle and that has failed, I suspect the operation depends on a number of bookings being paid for and not taken, so I don't think they will show any sympathy at all, sorry0

No "rights" if the terms of the offer clearly state that you can not cancel or amend the booking.
A big slice of humble pie and a very sweet and apologetic call to them might, just might, get the result you want. Sometime in these circumstances it is best to be very polite, get the call handler on your side, and ask nicely. Much better than shouty rants about "my rights".
Thank goodness it was a £9.50 coupon deal holiday and not £5,000 flights and luxury hotel in the Maldives.0 -
I’m afraid not. A few years back we needed to change the date due to my husbands employer having to cancel his annual leave for the dates booked and unfortunately they were not able to assist. Call handler was very apologetic but was bound by the t’s and c’s0

Unfortunately when you pay bottom dollar you can expect zero flexibility - at the end of the day, it's a tiny loss to them if you don't book another holiday next year because of this.0

Sell it on facebook at the price you purchased youll soon sell it0

Travel/holidays do not have a cooling off period, and the they don't fall under the DSR either. At £9.50 you're going to get the least flexible terms going lol.
If you want to avoid paying for your errors make sure you double check everything before confirming.0
