    You are should be able to claim for the costs of getting the new docs signed, but not really for the other courier. All you can do is put in a complaint first and see.

    On what basis? It's not normal for postal services to cover this sort of consequential loss, only the fee actually charged for their services, and the value of things which have intrinsic value. The costs involved in recreating legal documents, or penalties etc which become due because of the delay, aren't the courier's problem.
