SameOldRoundabout wrote: »Tiny update. They’ve come back and queried an incoming payment, which is annoying because it’s clearly explained in the documentation already, they just haven’t read it properly. Broker has gone back and told them so I’m hoping it won’t be too long but I think it’s going to be a very very long weekend waiting.
Have you had a text saying the valuation is booked? Usually this would be before anyone gets hold of the file to query anything as its done on day10 -
No, valuation definitely has not been booked. I thought it would be by now but nothing. We’re paying for a full survey at the same time so I don’t know if they do paperwork first in that case so you don’t waste a load of money? I really don’t know as even the intermediary website says valuation instructed day 1. Any ideas?0

We submitted on the 9th, and this was our timeline below
Timeline
Monday 6th Jan 2020 - Decision in Principle refer
Tuesday 7th Jan 2020 - Decision in Principle approved (following document submission)
Thursday 9th Jan 2020 - Mortgage Application submitted
Wednesday 15th Jan 2020 - Mortgage Valuation
Wednesday 15th Jan 2020 - Mortgage Valuation received
Friday 17th Jan 2020 - Valuation approved
Monday 20th Jan 2020 (Afternoon) - Request for verification on ID Docs
Monday 20th Jan 2020 (Evening) - Mortgage offer
We got texts and emails at every milestone with only 2 chaser calls.
all in all Nationwide have been very quick at processing our application, we were hard credit checked on the 16th Jan after the valuation but i think thats because we were referred at DIP stage:)

Hi @sameoldroundsbout
I’m interest to know how you’ve got on since your last post? We applied through Nationwide yesterday and had our valuation booked in today for Monday.
Have you had anymore updates?0 -
Nothing. They wasted 10 days asking us to provide proof of no childcare (which we provided in the form of a council email and nursery email) before telling us the only proof they would accept was a new tax credits statement from HMRC. We’re now on the long wait for that to arrive. They’ve been a real pain actually and I think I’m going to complain about them when it’s all sorted. They don’t book valuation until it’s passed underwriting so everything is on hold now. It’s a very stressful.0

Oh no, what a pain - I’m really sorry to hear that! Fingers crossed it’s a bit simpler from here and it all goes ok for you. X0

I’m a FTB, married but applying in sole name due to husbands age. My timeline with Nationwide was as follows:
Wed 9/10 21.46: Received mortgage application
Thurs 10/10 16.02: Mortgage valuation has been booked for Thurs 17/10
Fri 18/10 11.22: We’ve reviewed and approved the valuation report.
Fri 18/10 11.22: We’ve received the valuation report. We’ll review and be in touch. (Yes, the approved text came first! )
Fri 18/10 11.23: We’re pleased to let you know we’ve issued a mortgage offer.
Very impressed with how quick they were, and apart from payslips, bank statements etc, no questions asked 0 -
Thus far, i've had a similar experience to Dancer11 above.
Remortgage from Aldermore to Nationwide, halving interest rate, shaving 5 years off remaining term and getting a good fix in place so well happy
11 Jan: Online Application completed. Valuation request confirmed received by Nationwide
16 Jan: Valuation carried out following booking by Countrywide in the prior days
18 Jan: Valuation received by Nationwide
Nail biting weekend follows..
21 Jan: Mortgage Offer Issued
Have just ended the month having signed Deed and about halfway through conveyancing on way to completion.0 -
Full application submitted on the 16/09/19, offer issued on 01/10/19, I went direct and was pleased with the turnaround0

Hello! We applied in Thursday via broker. Yesterday we received s text saying valuation was booked for Monday.
We're hoping to receive an offer soon.0
