Whilst my car is in repairers due to 3rdparty scrapes etc over new year -all drivers side.
I asked repair company to quote passenger side back alloy which I assume I've scratched at some point in past year.
I have been today quoted 84 pounds+vat -100 pounds approx. 1 wheel
Does that sound reasonable before I agree

Thanks

Depends on the type of wheel and what they are going to do.

A cheap job is around £60 to knock the tyre off, strip and powder coat (without etch primer so it falls off again) then refit & balance.

£100 for a quality job is probably right, especially if it is diamond cut or polished rather than all one colour
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

That sounds about right to me.
I've had 2 sets refurbished in the last year or so, one was around £90/wheel and the other was about £120/wheel - however that included some re-shaping / repairs.

Excellent advice mser's honestly appreciated considering I don't know such Alloy repair costs/types.
I replied via email today asking if the repair could be reduced closer to collection driver verbal quote of 50 pounds approx.
2nd offer came in via email reply and have agrees to pay 72 pounds including vat.
I'm not sure which type of work will be taken though the repairers were recommended by hire car company so should be decent job.
In terms of alloy damage is basically scuff marks -Clio passengers side back wheel.
