I just want to clear things up on this new letter.
I got my second letter from dcbl today entitled pre enforcement letter. It says...
You have failed to pay dcbl the outstanding is close to 200 pound ... relating or make contact to discuss the repayment of this debt. We will recommend to our client the commencement of legal recovery action against you. After further applications have been granted by the court the possible impact to you could be...
Enables enforcement action... obtaining attachment of earnings... placing a charging order in your property ... and prevent future lending.
I just want to say it does NOT say letter of claim. It also says this case is not subject to high court or bailiff action.
I thought I would make a new thread on this because I expect a lot of people will have gotten the same letter.
So can I stilll ignore this ? Thanks for all help In advance... I’m sure this post will help lots of people .0 -

DCB and DCBL are sneaky. They play the long game. If you ignore them, they are happy to sit back and then chase you only a few months prior to the six year limit. The problem then is that many folk might struggle to put together any evidence in their defence if they feel the charge was incorrect or unenforceable. In my case I was wrongly issued a PCN for parking overnight in a motorway services whilst staying at the Travelodge there. When I received the PCN, I immediately phoned the issuing company in an attempt to set things straight. Then there was silence for around 4.5 years when I received a letter from the bailiffs at DCB, to which I replied with a strongly worded letter. Again, silence for a further 12 months, when DCB Legal popped up and started pressing for payment with threats of court action. By this time, I couldn't even find evidence of the hotel booking, but luckily I emailed Customer Services at Travelodge and they very kindly sent me an email to confirm my stay, which I sent to DCB. That did the trick and the six year limit is now passed. My advice is, no matter what, collect any evidence you have together, and file it away for at least six years in case this bunch pop up to harass you.3

Excellent advice. 👆✔️Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You can play "the long game" right up to DCBL being spanked in court

If anyone is being sneaky it's Cowboy Parking Plus or HighNoon. They are telling DCBL what to do but it's more a case of dredging up old PCN's to supplement their ailing income. The fact that most people will not have kept any records of transactions from so long ago is just an added bonus for them.0
