Just following the hub where my boxes went to. The main organiser has just done baskets of essentials and selection boxes for a women’s refuge along with toys for the kids and is now putting items together for dementia patients. She put out a SOS for twiddle muffs which someone provided but it is amazing what the work the hub is doing. Think I will keep a look out for some toiletry boxes that I can donate to them and toys for next Christmas for them

Sainsburys had the 19p veggies in today, I saw carrots, sprouts, parsnips and potatoes.
I’ve just had a huge splurge in HomeBargains today. I got a few stocking fillers and gifts for the children, plus a couple of gifts for birthdays and Christmas in 2022. I picked up some bars of soap for 25p each for my link boxes. When I went to Home Bargains a few weeks ago. I was really disappointed in their offering, but I think they must have restocked, as they had lots in.2 -
I did some more wrapping today, so I only really have the childrens stocking fillers to do now.I bought the turkey today. It’s a small turkey crown and I don’t think there will be much left over, which means it won’t go to waste. Last year, I misread the label on the turkey and ended up buying quite an expensive one and a lot of it didn’t get eaten in the end.I try not to go overboard on Xmas food, as the children aren’t interested in anything too fancy. So, we have a takeaway on Xmas eve and party food on New Years Eve.
I had a £10 voucher for Lidl, so I bought some items for the food bank and some tubes of toothpaste for my link boxes. OH is getting a couple of pairs of trainers for Xmas, so I’ve laid claim to the shoe boxes, which means I’ll have all the boxes I need.2 -
Chanie you’ve gone off like a rocket for 2022, it’s very impressive!
My preparation has been buying some birthday cards and more cheap veg, esp cauliflower as I eat a lot of it. I’m the same with Christmas food, used to buy a lot in the past only for it to go to waste as DD has got older plus I now go to Duncles Christmas Day, I tend to come home with more than I take so don’t need much.
Ive had a quick look out for toiletry boxes for the hub for next year but not spent a massive amount of time. I think this will be a mission for after Christmas. I did see some alcohol gift sets on a Tesc@ special price that look really nice so I think I might go in and get a couple for birthday presents for next year as I’m always in there for cat supplies.
they also have a toy collection trolley set up, very late this year. I have a couple more toys which I need to take in.
Just need to wrap one of DDs presents tonight, put them all in her Christmas bag and that is it all done. I have never been so organised in my life for a Christmas!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Happy Xmas Eve, hope you all have a lovely day and all of your prep pays off.

Happy Christmas to everyone. The prep has definitely paid off and Chanie u have inspired me, I have picked up some things for my shoeboxes while I was out and about this morning. This Christmas Eve has definitely been more relaxed and I’m enjoying it more, just finishing off some housework.
I also by chance on the hunt for cat litter found Morries had reduced their gifts by more than 50% so picked up quite a bit for the charity auction (I was in there at 6.30am yesterday as the one we have gets packed out at Christmas) as well as doing the Boots online sale which I don’t normally have time to do. I have also picked up some items that will go to the shoebox hub for other causes the organiser supports-domestic abuse packs and dementia boxes being among the many things.
There was only one alcohol wine gift set left when I went to Tesc@ after Morries yesterday morning so I picked that up and have finished my first present for 2022. Went out for a Christmas meal with my bestie last night, this year has been so nice, enjoying Christmas so much more.I hope everyone is the same. Merry Christmas everyone!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a lovely chilled Xmas (so chilled in fact, I forgot to cook the sprouts and Yorkshire puddings). Also having a chilled Boxing Day -we’ve been invited around to family for dinner, but I’ve told OH he can go with the children I’ll stay at home.
