Anglea sorry to hear about Christmas and about ur sons birthday coming up. It’s awful just how much covid affects our lives and continues to do so
Since the England lockdown announcement, I feel that people are following the rules much tighter where I live. But it is always quiet post Christmas except for tourists, so it’s strange not seeing the visitors we usually have.
i picked up my haul of goodies from Arg@s yesterday. Really pleased with everything esp a craft set I got for £5 instead of £30. I do have to go back. They got one item wrong and I ended up with curtain tie backs instead of a candle!!Went to Tesc@ after and I also picked up some sale bits which had been reduced even further from the other day when I picked up a few bits, two of the alcohol sets were cheaper. They also had some card games so picked up some for the charity auction I support. Did feel this year that Tesc@ has tried to clear post Christmas really quick. Back today to our small store as I forgot to get milk and more cat food.
Have stopped writing things down, must update books otherwise I will forget, but haven’t stored away properly yet.
The tree came down and was all packed away yesterday. Found it really sad but I’m keeping lights and a snowman out for the winter months.
Paperwork day today and I think a lot of tv for the rest of the weekDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hope everyone is doing okay and staying safe and well.
Just packaging up a charity auction parcel full of bits that I picked up in Tesc@ including smellie sets.
I've decided to send them now as I actually had a box big enough and I couldn’t be bothered packing them all away to be dragged out and sent with the extra stuff in Sept. There are 19 items being sent including the card games and a couple of bits I wasn’t able to send from last year.
My Christmas list has really been chopped down this year which everyone is happy and in agreement with. 10 main presents completed but I must stop spending in the online sales now which I have been doing more bec of being stuck at homeDid pick up a nightdress for DD today for her birthday next month from the White Company in the sale. Don’t think I will get to see her on her birthday. Most of her presents I can’t send thru the post, but at least I will have a couple I will be able to send.
Have been jotting things down, also savings brings made as I became a bit lax at one point. I have a general supply of birthday cards, more aimed at younger members of the family, might just send her one for her birthday with a dinosaur on it!Stay safe everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Happy kitties you have been busy! I haven’t been very productive this month. I’ve browsed online, but haven’t seen anything worth getting. On a more positive note, I made my first 2021 donation to the food bank, which is one of my charity focuses this year. I had a Lidl app loyalty voucher and I bought washing up liquid, packet rice, body wash and biscuits. My Lidl has a food bank box in store, so I’m going to try and buy one or two items more regularly.2

Chanie I was but have gone downhill since! Not seen anything else and felt it was time to firmly shut the purse to save, esp after having to buy a new vacuum at short notice when my other one suddenly decided it had had enough
ive joined the 21 things for 2021 on the old style saving thread. I haven’t managed to list 21 targets, only 10 but one is charity donations/random acts of kindness.
I haven’t done a food bank donation yet but our local Tesco have a collection point for the NHS for moisturisers so have taken a few of them in.
U sound as if u have started with a bang with a few items donated. I like how this thread is very charity focused. We all do something which I find very positive and inspiring.
I checked out the bags of education. While not the one I really like to do I have exercise books and bits left over, prob enough to do 2 bags and at least the bits have been put to good use as the exercise books are just sitting doing nothing. Will see how I get on.
Hope everyone is staying safe and well

i like that we can also focus on charitable causes on this thread as well. It has certainly inspired me to do so more.

Hi everyone. I sent my son his presents, just hope it gets there in time as there's supposed to be a huge Royal Mail backlog. During the recent gift and card buying I overlooked a birthday on the same day as his so have to do it tomorrow as this week I've been busy with mum and her medical appointments. The next special occasions for me will be trying to think up something new and a creative for Valentines, I've seen a home made card saying 'you light up my life' made with a candle. In the past my friend has really loved everything I've made but I'm running out of new unique projects as I've made so many in the past.Well done on all your charity purchases and continued enthusiasm helping out.2

Anglea Fingers crossed that ur son got his presents okay. I sent a parcel on Friday second class and the recipients received it yesterday. Very quick so u never know.
Katiehound I took a look on the Link to Hope twitter and they mention about hand made bags and they’ve seen a few popping up. They have a couple of photos with the bags in them. I know it’s a long shot but they wouldn’t be ur bags u made would they? All quiet here and very cold with a smattering of snow.
Picked up a couple more present bits and sent another parcel to the charity auction organiser. Boxes are difficult to come by so it was too good an opportunity to miss as I had a box spare. Only 6 items this time compared to the first box of 19 but as I was going to the post anyway, I dragged the parcel along.
Doing a lot more reading, not so much tv but have really got stuck into reading.
Did get a bargain yesterday. I had to go and pick up my tablets. The closest shop near the car to get a newspaper and chocolate was WHS.They had wrapping paper priced at 4.49 down to 20p, really nice design. Came out with 6 rolls. I have loads of paper so when we are allowed to meet up again I’m going to give some to bestie after taking a photo to show her. But the chocolate was the best bit and a nice treat as I’m not a big choc person, need to be in the mood so it was much enjoyed while finding out who the murderer was in my Agatha Christie!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
