I entered into a DMP with Stepchange in Dec 2017 which has now all been paid, on checking my credit report. For Provident there are 2 missed payments at the beginning. There was an issue with the account number being incorrect.

I am querying what has happened to 2 payments as I suspect these have got lost. I am hoping Provident will trace these.

Assuming they do and correct my credit file and refund, should I request compensation as well?

Also, they have flagged as payments as late, the loan amount was £160 per month, on the DMP was paying £118, so can they do this?

What would the compensation be for? You just need the payments to be correctly shown, not that it will make much difference on a DMP.
The late markers would appear correct, given you're not paying the contracted amount.0 -
This has caused a great deal of stress and time to get it corrected. The late payments have gone to a -4 which if get the first 2 correct would then change to a -2.
Am trying to get a mortgage and a -4 is really bad compared to -2 for the interest rates.0
