Virgin Mobile appalling practices

I have a PAYG Virgin Mobile. They keep changing prices and T&Cs with zero notice. Is this normal?

They did tell us that they would hike their texts and call prices to £2 a text/call a day, which was already shocking.

And now I find out they charge me 26 pence just to check my voicemail. There was no warning of that price hike. Then i read on MSE a thread that said they never warned people that they changed their disconnection rule (i you do not make a call) from 180 days to 90 days. I would never had known that fact had I not read it by chance on MSE. I obviously want to change providers but i need to know if other providers behave like that? Thanks.
