I have an iPad2 which I want to use as a standalone device to control a lighting scheme in a Church.
I've done a factory reset but really want to delete all the apps. Any suggestions as to how I do this please?

Hold finger on an app icon.
When apps quiver with X in top left of icon, touch X to delete app.
Repeat for all apps to be deleted.
Press Home button to return to normal0 -

Because they are the build-in apps that come with the iPad and can't be deleted. Just bundle them together in a group and put them out of sight on a second "desktop" if you want a clean slate on your main "desktop".Undervalued wrote: »Indeed but there are a few apps which can't be deleted.
If you want to reclaim the storage they use, I think you are out of luck. Newer versions of iOS allow you to "offload" these apps and download on demand, but I don't think iPad 2 has access to them0 -
I still have my iPad 2 , but found over the years everything got really sluggish . Even browsing the Internet was becoming a pita .
Hopefully , for the op it will do for the purpose required .0 -

That's where I've got to - other than Settings I can't see a need for any of them.

You don't actually need to bundle them, just drag all of them, one-by-one, to the right, to place them on "page 2" of the home screen, leaving page 1 free for your control app(s)0

How do I bundle them
You just drag one of the apps on top of another when it will create a group / folder / bundle or whatever it is called with both apps inside. It can sometime be a bit fiddly. You can then drag the others into it if you wish.
If you wish you can give it a name like "Apps I wish I could delete"!0 -
When you say you've done a factory reset, do you mean you've signed out of your iCloud account, followed by erasing all content and settings? If so, then the only apps remaining will be those Apple apps that are pre-installed and I'm not sure you can delete them.
As 'Googler' says, put them on Page 2 of your home screen, then they're out of the way for everyday use, but easy to get at, if you need them in the future.I can't imagine a life without cheese. (Nigel Slater)0
