Car loan miracle?

Is there such a thing as a buy now pay nothing for a year car loan? We need a new car as we're expecting a third child and can't get 3 car seats in the back of our ford focus. Being on maternity leave we can't afford to pay anything else out until I'm back at work. Any ideas gratefully received!

Get a couple of credit cards - one with a money transfer option. Do the balance transfer shuffle with a few others, you may be able to pay nothing for a year if you work it right, but you will build up big balances in the process.

What your asking for doesn't exist.

you will always need to make the minimum payments with a credit card.

Use other card(s) to make the payments as long as you have balance transfer options.
  • Rather than borrow money, why not sell your current car. Whatever you get for it is your budget for your next car. Presumably you want a bigger car, buying a cheaper brand or slightly older model you shouldn't need additional funds.

Selling the current car and use the proceeds is great advice.

You know, the time to work out if you could afford to have a third child was not shortly before they were due to arrive.

Anyway, here you are, so yes, as above, sell the car and buy a cheaper but bigger one. If you are struggling for money please don’t start getting deeper into debt when your expenses are about to increase anyway.

Keep the Focus. Oldest child in car seat in the front, mother in the centre seat in back with a child either side.

This is the perfect solution - unless mother is driving of course.:)
  • As above, stick a kid in the front.

    Or get a multimac

    https://www.multimac.com/home

Expensive, but cheaper than a car, and good resale value

    Now that is fascinating.

I've just spent 10 minutes in the crash test section of their website.

I assume you would have to notify your insurance that you were carrying an extra passenger.
