Switched Energy Provider, Then Cancelled, Now Problem

I was with BritishGas for Gas & Electricity, my deal ended and went onto their default package, I then switched to another provider using MoneySavingExpert's Cheap Energy Club comparison site. I received confirmation emails from the new provider. Only 2 weeks have passed since switching. I have since decided to cancel the switch and go back to BritishGas. I informed the new provider who have accepted and duly cancelled the switch. So far so good. Now I am waiting for my accout home page on the Cheap Energy Club comparison site to update as currently it still says (6 days later) 'You currently have a switch in progress'.
Does this automatically recognise that I have cancelled the switch and then allow me to find another provider (BritishGas again)?
I want to do it through the Cheap Energy Club site to maintain my history and get the cashback.
The Cheap Energy Club site mentions if I change my mind when switching but it doesn't say anything about it's own site updating to reflect this.
Despite this problem I tried to ignore it by using the Cheap Energy Club comparison site to go ahead with the switch to BritishGas but it doesn't allow me because but the button to proceed say 'Switch In Progress'! In fact all the buttons to proceed for all providers say that. I therefore am not able to switch again.
Thanks for any advice.

The Energy Club is just for your information. You can switch either directly or from another comparison site never mind what the Energy Club says.0

MSE CEC relies upon your new supplier informing them that your switch has been completed. This then starts the cashback process for you, and will then relaese your account so that you may switch again.
Obviously, if you cancel the switch before it even has happened, then the supplier will not be notifying MSE that the switch has completed, nor will you be receiving cashback for that switch that never happened.
If you read the FAQ's associated with the MSE CEC, it explains how you can get your account released so that you can switch again.
I would post the detail here, but I am worried that I may be accused of spamming, as the explanation has already been posted umpteen times before.0
