Corsa Engine Noise
Hi all, hope you are well.
I know it is hard to discern a noise over the internet but looking some advice if you can give it.
Had timing chain done last August and oil changed.
Tonight car has started making a metal on metal grinding noise that comes and goes. Happens at low rpms and in 3rd gear driving at 30mph.
I previously had this when I was running low on oil last year.
I have checked my oil level and its within the dipstick min max mark. I put a bit more in and it appears to have gone away. I was thinking perhaps an oil change might fix it?
Oil was last changed in August 2019. I only use it for work and back and I would say its done about 3000 miles if even since August.
Timing chain going bad? Was replaced in Aug. It only makes the noise when moving. When the car is idling its as quiet as it can be and timing chain sounds fine.

Seriously go and see a mechanic. Probably goosed the engine the last time you ran out of oil.0
