Turn 150k into 1 million

I have 150k savings.
My friend gets 5k annual return on his savings of similar amount.
He said he invests but I don’t know how or where to start.

That's over 3.5%. Perhaps your friend takes risks.

What is your attitude to risk ?

Just under the dividend yield of the FTSE. Wouldn't be good investing to just have that as a fund but it would give the level of income

With a US and international equity and bond tracker funds I had 24% return last year, but I could lose money this year as I am taking risk.
