Why have Estate Agents started to do this

Like AdrianC, I would be happier with a floorplan but it seems that the EA was exhausted after posting all those odd photos! It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
'Wonder' - to feel curious.0 -
Well the house on their logo is wonky...0

I'm feeling sea-sick!#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

Taking photos at an angle is called a 'Dutch tilt' or 'Dutch shift' and when used properly, adds a more dynamic feel to what would otherwise be a staid, straight-on boring angle. Used incorrectly, as seen here, it makes you feel seasick!0

Blimey! I've heard of a Dutch Uncle and a Dutch Oven but a Dutch Tilt is a new one on me...:)0

These diagonal photos are awful. Also, the use of distortion to make rooms or garden look bigger is just plain silly. The other end of the room may look 20 feet away but if a double bed fills it then something's not right. I was looking at one recently where the garden looked quite big but the game was given away because you could count the standard sized paving slabs and work it out.
Aside - floor plans are great (apart from 3-D ones) but why do you never see a garden/plot plan?0 -
I find that some agents are using some kind of "brightness filter" that makes grim and grimy black holes of Calcutta look modern, fresh and bright.0

My favourite is exterior pics with surrounding houses faded gently out, so a fairly tightly-crammed place looks much less overlooked.0
