1.8% interest accounts

There used to be lots of 1.7 or 1.8% savings accounts advertised. Now there's none, from what I can see. The highest interest rate is 1.5%. When will the higher rate accounts be advertised again, or maybe you know some that are available now?

There are no secrets, also typically high paying accounts (relatively speaking) generally get inundated with new applicants and the bank stop offering that product.

You can get more than 1.8% if you are willing to fix. Have you looked here: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest/

Not sure where you're looking but there are lots of accounts with those rates, albeit fixed period ones. And still several with much higher rates - albeit mostly regular savers (thus limiting how much you can put in).

Look at the link given above.

As for asking when higher rates will be offered, no-one knows!
