Build an ensuite in a flat

I'm not entirely convinced that the room is really big enough to warrant putting in an ensuite, though.0 -
Even Saniflos need a continuous fall on the outlet pipe work (although they can pump up immediately after the Saniflo). You can't just run a level pipe under the floor. (You might even have concrete floors with no underfloor void in a flat.)
Saniflos can also be noisy and might be banned on that reason alone.
I might not be reading the plan correctly but the obvious place for a second (not en-suite) bathroom is to the windowed part of the Reception Hall next to the existing. Or you might be able to get a cloakroom loo in the hall cupboard behind the hot water cylinder.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Sorry, but it looks totally impractical to use the existing soil vent pipe for your ES
The reason the bathroom and kitchen are back to back is to place them close to the SV pipe, which will most likely be in that thicker piece of wall below your WC on the floor plan. I'll wager there's a box section in that corner of your bathroom, perhaps with an access plate to allow access to a rodding point?
That's where the output from your ES needs to go, and as you can see, it's on the opposite side from your bedroom ...
As was said, if you have concrete floors, no void space, there's nowhere for pipes to go.
If you have wood floor joists, there's no way to get pipes through without cutting into joists, and then you're cutting into downstairs neighbours ceiling joists .....
What's to the left of your existing bathroom on the plan? Is that open hall space?0 -
Thanks for all of your opinions and comment, I appreciate that.
There is an open hall space to the left of the existing bathroom, I think it will be easier to build another bathroom there but in my opinion, it will not bring much more convenient.
Perhaps, I will skip this flat and looking for another one.0
