Good morning, thank you for starting the thread nmlc.
Happycas, hope all goes well today.
We have a mix of sunshine and showers here, everything looks pretty in the sun, all sparkling wet leaves.
I wasn't here yesterday as I had a stomach upset, I must have eaten something that disagreed with me but everyone else was fine. I'm fine now but feel slightly 'delicate '. I felt totally wiped out yesterday and had to cancel a visit to a friend.
I don't have much to do today but must get some chicken into a marinade for this evening.
Hope everyone has a good day and RR I'm thinking of your daughter.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Morning all
Just wrote a long post and the internet goblin ate it .
It's lunch with Dad day, so nothing much else will be done other than cooking.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday. Sending healing vibes to the poorly people and I hope all appointments go well today. Speak more tomorrow.
Take care all

Sun is shining, we had a shower of rain a short while ago and the wind is something else. Glad we do not have to go out.
Had a message from a friend in Scotland, her husband died on Christmas Eve, the funeral was last week........I sent her a message on the day, she now has to settle down and sort everything out whilst grieving the loss of her husband........
I need to sort out laundry, it seems to have got away from me somehow, the bin is full, not going to risk it on the line, it will go in the dryer.
Need to sort out veg for supper, I have a chicken to cook, so it will be a full roast. Need to get rhubarb out the fridge for desser, will make a crumble.
The bulbs are starting to come through in the garden, I am hoping we get some dry weather so I can get on and sort some stuff out. We also have fruit trees and some shrubs to sort out. OH's seed potatoes came yesterday, and he now has all his seeds.
We have a piece of ground at the top of the garden which we are going to turn into a wild life bed, It needs sorting so we can plant the seeds a bit later, possibly in March if its dry enough.
RR what an idiot, I am glad you both managed to get away safely.
Offsky to put the washer on and sort the sypper....cheers.......0 -
Back from my dip. Last week the pool was almost empty, today it was like Central station! I got myself a sweet spot right at the deep end and did 20 minutes of exercises, swam down to the shallows for my walking stuff and then left. Now I've got water in both my ears as I dived under three lane ropes, need to get head shaking. :rotfl:
On the way home I called in to the shops to pick up a few items for this afternoon. I also bought some face moisturiser for myself.
REDRUBY - how awful that he's smashed up the house. Did you take photos? At least your DD is safe.
AOD - I hope you're feeling better.
SNOOZER - sorry about your shoulder though, you're right, it is time to have it looked at before it gets any worse.
NELSKI - soggy cucumber is just evil!
After the horrid weather yesterday today is lovely although there's the promise of a storm coming through tomorrow. I'm making the most of today.0 -
We're back!
Thank you all for the kind wishes. The hospital were v efficient and DH was very brave! Turns out he has a hiatus hernia. Not too bad at all but doesn't explain the liver blood test being high, which caused all the tests! Anyway, ultra sound scan Wednesday so will see what that says. Must say, the NHS is marvellous. Just think what all this would have cost in America!!
Tru - Thank you for the toothache/earache link. Who knew? At least I know I'm not imagining it now.
R Ruby - Your DD is well out of that one! He sounds a nasty piece of work
Right, chill out for the rest of the day. And it's sunny!0 -
Cheap day at Ikea, thankfully I read the voucher before I bought anything, it can't be spent until tomorrow!
Called in at Sainsburys and bought some heavily reduced childrens clothes, love a bargain!0 -
Afternoon all,
RR sorry to hear about the house and freezer being smashed up - what an idiot!
I've been MIA for a few days, been busy sewing for a uk crafters group who are making items for the rescued Aussie wildlife. Its that long since I used my sewing machine there were a couple of controls I'd forgottenApparently they have been astounded by the response so a big stock take is due in a couple of weeks so they'll have a better idea of what items they are short of.
We had a takeaway last night, loads left so no cooking for me tonight. We had fun yesterday playing games with the DGC that were new at xmas and hadnt been opened properly, makes a change from electronic items.
Right off out for a bit so I'll love you and leave you, take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
