    Hi guys

Something i think should be brought to everyones attention.
Some of u might already know so might not, some information going round the daily click world regarding the following click SHOPPING FOR DISCOUNTS.Some people are getting the following message when they click this site "this website has been reported as unsafe" and it is alerting anti virus software.
    http://www.cashbackcascade.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=489
I was doing daily clicks in the early hours of wednesday morning this week and had only done 3 or 4 sites and a program called total security 4.52 had hijacked my computer completely out of the blue.Aparently it is a clone of some security program and is a fake that when running on your pc system basicly shuts down the operational functions and after about 15 minutes you are forced to restart your computer.

From what i can remember i had clicked on this daily click although i cant guarentee this was the cause, but i find it odd that this happens to my pc when other people are reporting similar things at this moment in time.

I am not one to just surf any site i take internet security very seriously .

I am just making you guys aware of this, and its thanks to a good friend of mine who works in IT has managed to get rid of this trojen virus and now my pc is back running ok.

So guys just be aware of this when u r doing your daily clicks

    regards

    mark
  • For the past few days whenever I've attempted to go to Shoppinf for Discounts, FF prompts me with a pop up box asking if I'd like to install something, I think it's named along the lineso f adobe program. I've denied it everytime.

Actually, I think this click through has been remopved now in some places. Along with a few others.

Is anyone having trouble using the new carsource website when clicking through from TCB? Whenever I try to perfomr a search it constantly hangs.

Was thinking about making a new thread but not sure where would be best to post it.... So here will do.

    VIRUS WARNING

After my last post I decided to check thoroughly for everyones benefit.

The web site SHOPPING FOR DISCOUNTS contains a virus, atleast indirectly. I would advice anyone using it as a daily click to stop using it until the issue has been resolved.

If you visit the site it will do one of 2 things. Depending on how your browser is setup.

    1) It will automatically download the virus
    2) It will prompt you to download the virus

The prompt is this or will look like this

    http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/2881/viruswarning.th.jpg

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS FILE IT CONTAINS A VIRUS.

Even when the download prompt appears you can see that the source of the so-called flash_player file is very shady.

Make sure your virus scanner is always up-to-date

    Positive hit with Kaspersky 2009

Ensure your browser settings are atleast enabled to "Warn" when sites attempt to download something. In FF (Firefox), Tools > Options > Security

I have already e-mailed the admin for the website and informed them of the issue.

Edit: Just to add, for those more security concious you can still use this daily click.

    Hi all,

Firstly a big hug and Get Well to BLF - wow, even in recovery you did some daily clicks, you do us all proud :D:beer: Hope you are feeling better, that must have been so painful! Speaking of absences has anyone heard from aspella?

cash-magnet - I never did sign up to CashbackKings, but did to CashbackChief that had slightly better clicks, though there's not much between them of course :rotfl:Maybe as mark1966 says you will see a mass update, I hope you do and some more pounds roll in for you.

Scrimped09 - It takes a while for tracking to get over to that all important Payable column, but be patient. If you stick to the 12-14 week rule, all you will be looking at is the actual cash ready to pay rather than the tracking as such (though of course you'll want to notice anything that is consistently Not tracking). In the beginning it's easy to get too focused on when it will clear but don't worry, give it 12-14 weeks and keep up the routine as usual, then review it at the end :T

lynnecooke - I am not a tecchie but try Numpty Monkeys suggestion and see how you go?

Thanks to mark1966 and antispam246 for the virus warning - I honestly don't know what these hackers/virus people do that's productive, do they not have a life for goodness sake! I guess it's worth their while for the amount of people that Will click it by mistake and will get their data stolen and probably sold on the black market.

I will send out guides asap to anyone who's pmd me their e-mail address, in the meantime have fab wekends everyone and stay snug
