Declined for a second Barclaycard

Has any one successfully applied and been accepted for a second Barclaycard. I have a cash back card with them that’s paid in full every month and decided to apply for the fee free balance transfer card to transfer from my Tesco credit card with £1200 balance left from a large purchase last year.

Was really surprised to receive a letter today saying I had been declined

At the moment you can only apply for one barcycard.

First question on their eligibility checker - do you have an existing barclaycard. Answer yes and you are told you cannot apply.

As per the above yes you can only have 1 Barclaycard account (I have the cashback card too)

I have 4 cards with them. Some however were through migration but two were not.

Perhaps when you applied they allowed more than 1 barclaycard I know from time to time they let you have 2, or it used to be 1 Barclaycard and 1 Partner card.

When they introduced the 0% foreign currency exchange card they did allow existing customers to apply for it for a time (I got one at that time, already having a platinum card)
