UKCPS Final Notice

Hi I've read through the newbies thread but clarification the letters should be ignored as the driver was in the wrong - they parked at their doctors practice to use the pharmacy connected to the doctors practice and accidentally parked in the landlords bay (all over bays had the same notice on them saying 'Users of the practice only' and this one said 'Landlord only' and within 10 minutes was photographed and issued a parking charge in the post.

Attempted appeal and was declined but was not notified of this (UKCPS claim otherwise) and now received the final notice letter of £130 (contacted UKCPS and asked for a 5 day extension so could afford the £130 and was told no, and that it would be passed to debt collectors after the 14 days

Is the driver right in assuming this debt collector is nonsense and should be ignored up until court action? How much will be the charge go up at court action?

Thanks for any assistance

Correct , ignore debt collectors (it's the Keeper who is doing the ignoring)

A typical loss in court is about £200
  • Thanks for quick response - at what point should I respond to them? Only if they issue an actual court correspondence?

At LBC stage , or MCOL , whichever comes first

UKCPS has 6 years to issue a court claim

Please read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread for the point to respond, and how.

Please read post #4 of the same sticky, about ignoring debt letters where I literally BEG people not to start any new threads about this stage...please...!

You'll be glad we don't waste our time at this stage for people, when you really need us.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
