Cifas Marker

Hello,
My partner has got a Cifas marker against his name. This marker will stay for around 6 years in total. I have a couple of questions (I have tried to research myself without asking on here but not getting very far).
1. Will he be able to open up a savings account now? He has an online current account with starling.
2. After the 6 years is up, will he be able to get a high street bank account / mortgage? Ultimately will it be a fresh start for him and will things go back to normal?
I am a homeowner and I really want to know if he will ever be able to get a mortgage himself.

What's the marker for?
Some banks will allow a person to open a very, very basic bank account only. Most won't touch him with a bargepole.
In regards to 'clean slate', not quite. Although information disappears from credit files after 6 years, companies can hold data for far longer. It can be the case that companies 'wronged' by someone refuse to do business with them even after the 6 years are up."Facism arrives as your friend.
