    Morning all
It's grey and wet outside after yesterdays sunshine :(.
Slept like a log last night, 12 hrs with only one loo stop, I really needed that sleep !
Well yesterday the gasman didn't turn up and only decided to inform us that the appointment was cancelled after over a hour of house sitting . However DSiL has been given £30 in compensation. That's not the point, but they didn't seem to understand (or care perhaps) that some people would have to take time off work for them and lost half a days pay. I'm glad I'm no longer with B Gas they seem so unreliable. Rant over !!!

I did have time to do a load in the WM and dry it when I came home though.
Dad has met with the cleaning lady and they got on like a house on fire, so she will start the week after next :j. He was " prince charming " as he always is with strangers. I hope he doesn't keep her chatting while she's there and lets her do some work. I won't feel guilty now about not being able to help him clean, however we can still help with fixing things and any shopping.
Today I want to strip the bed and wash the bedding, remake the bed and clean upstairs. I seem to be going at 100 mph again and my batteries are leaking :rotfl: so anything else done will be a bonus. ( and we have another busy week ahead  ) Oh ! Give me a push someone :rotfl:.
Tea will be pulled pork, I think I'll just have mine in a bun and Mr Fix It will probably have a few chips as well.
    Take care all
    nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently
  • Morning all

Thanks for the thread Nelski and hugs to all those in need.

Very cold and windy here the boat is moving up and down a lot.

Today's jobs include sweeping the floor, cleaning the fridge ad making jam.

DD has now got a few months emergency day care to do and is still expecting one or two more children, probably not until March now. She is also doing a Therapeutic Parenting course.

    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Hello All

HNY, I know I am late to the party but I have had to change my password to get access on my laptop and still have no joy on my mobile.
I have sent a message to the forum team so hopefully they can help.

Congratulation again to Jackie O and family.
DP1 hope DD and baby are ok
RR sorry to hear about your DD and pup no one should have to put up with that sort of behaviour,
Gers glad to hear you are recovering well

Have been back at work over a week but DH been off sick with the virus that I think has been doing the rounds. I think he is on the mend.

We did the shopping last night and have started round 1 of tidier and de cluttered house this morning.
DH now having his lunch and I have taken some HM chilli from the freezer for tonight.

We have been quite good with using up bits from the freezer this week but hoping to get them cleared ( and the old one de-iced).

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

  • Trying to keep up as promised. Made a big pan of post Xmas veg soup for tea. Oh made himself corned beef stew, will freeze most of it for lunches. Spent most of day with stinky dog snoring on my lap, watching fine rain, blown like smoke across the garden. Spoken to grown up D.C., trying to arrange something for special birthday this Spring, trouble is 500 mile drive between us. We will get there, I have a plan. Best to all xx
This year I'm going to do it . . .;)
