Hi this is the first time I've posted here so I do hope I'm posting in the correct way!
Can anyone help with a question about limited capability element. My son has Autism and has been assessed as having limited capability but still has to go to the job centre to prepare for work . From what I have read he won't be entitled to extra money as he was not claiming ESA . He has received a payment today saying it is what they owe him due to limited capability and that it covers from March 24th to May 24th 2019. He didn't get an appointment to go for the assessment until mid October 2019 and after they cancelled on him twice did not go until December 2019 . I'm just so confused as to why he would even get extra money and why it is for the dates stated. I might not have explained that very well but just wondered if anyone can give me some advice

You have posted your question on the end of someone else's thread and this will cause confusion. You're better off starting your own thread with your question because people will read the first post and answer that. This link will allow you to post a question for yourself. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/post/discussion/benefits-tax-credits
