IHG Premium Credit Card

Anyone have any experience with the IHG Premium card, issued by CREATION which I have heard mixed reviews about.

No idea what these mixed reviews say or where you have heard them, but look at the rewards that the card offers and determine for yourself if you will benefit from them.
As you have only recently opened a Virgin Atlantic rewards credit card account less than two weeks ago, perhaps better to stick with that as having several rewards credit cards will not really benefit you as by mixing the spend you will probably not accumulate sufficient points to take the best advantage of the product. I am basing this opinion on the fact that last month you stated that you only spend £800-£1000 per-month on credit cards.
Also would probably be better if you want to get another card for you to consider a travel credit card (i.e a card with no foreign currency conversion fee) in view of the fact that you stated yesterday that you have a very low limit on your existing one. Any foreign use fee will outweigh the benefits of any rewards. Even though creation state that this card is one of their best travel cards, it has a £99 annual fee, gives only 50 days interest free credit and charges a 2.99% foreign currency conversion fee which will of course wipe out the value of any reward points.

The IHG cards (well, all that matter, really) are covered in depth on the HFP blog. The premier IHG CC is well regarded there, so I doubt what those mixed reviews you mentioned are about; but it's really only worth getting it if you are a high spender (say, at least £15-20k per annum) to offset the fee. Also, unless your spend is mostly with IHG, you'd probably be better off with an Amex travel card. Visa/MC are in a different league in terms of earnings.

I have it and won't be cancelling it anytime soon. All these problems people have with Creation, I don't get them and I put quite a fair amount through it. The biggest problem is the occasional security blocks to high risk merchants. There's a number to ring which gets that sorted immediately. So I'm perfectly happy with them.

What do you want from the card? Are you specifically after IHG points? If not then there isn't any other incentive to get it - there's a £99 annual fee, no free forex, you can easily get longer 0% purchase offers elsewhere and the interest rates are high.

Free forex can be had through Curve - limits depend on your Curve plan, and Revolut but Creation impose limits on the amounts of Revolut topups as they go through as cashlike transactions (though don't currently attract cash advance fees).

The fee is charged in advance and non-refundable even if you cancel the card, and you only get the free hotel night a year later, meaning you have to pay the next annual fee in order to gain this benefit.

IHG hotels tend to be crap, so I only have the free card which I only use to pay at IHG hotels when the rate is cheap and/or they have promos that earn so many points that I practically get two nights for the price of one.
