Which banks never have switch offers

I am lookin for a good bank to open a 'donor account' for a switch offer. Which bank 1. never had a switch offer (so unlikely to offer in the future) and 2. is easy to open online. (Starling and monzo used already).

  • Lloyds bank recently did have a switch offer but generally they have no offers to open an account with them.
    You can open online.

Just open up a second account with one of your current banks. I have had second accounts with RBS and Nationwide that I have used as donor accounts for switching offers and never had an issue.

How many times did you do that with each bank? Because I have seen reports about Lloyds making trouble for someone who did that twice.

With RBS, I am onto my second "donor account". I have had my main account with them for quite a few years, opened a second account in October last year and switched it into Barclays for the double rewards offer they had in November. Just opened my second donor account with them this month (although this one won't be switched but upgraded to a rewards account once my current main account is switched over to Santander 123 for better cashback on bills when RBS rewards changes in Feb).
With Nationwide, I have only opened a second account as a donor account once. Not had the need to do it again yet.

I second the Metro Bank suggestion. Very straightforward to apply online (even for a second account).
Being a bit cynical though, at the current rate they might have to run a switch promotion to recoup some business. Or sell.. they're in a pretty bad place right now.

You could argue it's just the other way round those that never had an offer could be more likely to have one [that you can make use of]. Bottom line is that it's crystal ball stuff.

Why do you need to keep opening donor accounts? Can't you switch one of the accounts you've already got a switch incentive from?
