Hey! So nice to see you back posting!
I love the sound of your slippers and your Stanley flask. I think I’ll have to start boiling the kettle on once or twice a day and filling a flask.

I really like your meal plan and your goals. And I was only talking to OH today about the cost of cat food! My cats will only eat the sachets! I’ve tried tins but the bits seem to be bigger and they point blank won’t eat them. It’s costing about £40 per month in food and £30 a month on cat litter as they will only use a certain type. We have 2 cats and they cost more than the children do to keep!

    Keep smiling!
  • Another one who’s cat food budget has increased exponentially lately! One of my cats is on Butchers Classic and I’ve also been struggling to find it, it seems to constantly be in and out of stock at various supermarkets and I’m fed up with PAH deliveries where half the tins arrive dented. Though Morrisons have the 12 pack for 3.40 at the moment if you have one close by.

@astrocytic_kitten I have just checked the Morrisons website and it is 6 for £3.40 - phew! I paid £3.39 at The Range yesterday, and B and M have them on their website for £3.29 but my shop didn't have any.

  • I hate to say it, but my local Morrisons definitely has the 12 for 3.40 (same price as the 6). Maybe it’s not nationwide though?

:'( It's definitely not nationwide. I'd buy enough for the whole year! Mine do seem to have 12 for £6.20, which is still cheaper than I paid. It's annoying because I did check the app before I went but couldn't see they had any at all. Ho hum. Live and learn!

  • Home bargains sell it too for future reference.

Mine are being super fussy at the moment and nothing seems to be palatable for more than a day.  We have 2 bowls of different dry foods down at all times so they won't starve.

Careful with the bulk buying people, cats are like children.  As soon as you buy in a bulk of what they like they suddenly go off it.  4 boxes of breakfast cereal anyone!  Now OOD obviously.

Ahhhh this makes me think of my dear departed old cat who seemed to know exactly when I’d just bulk bought and would instantly refuse to touch it again. I miss that guy. Current cats are (touch wood) just happy to be fed but they’re both still relatively recent rescues. Plenty of time for them to learn how to be a proper cat with food!

Hey @missymoo81 Glad to be posting again and back on the wagon so to speak!
One of my cats has weird shaped teeth and also struggles with big pieces, so I mash it up for her with a fork. Only takes a few seconds, and then she can eat it fine.
