That's so fantastically positive, @Elisheba. Congratulations & it's savings all the way now. Post debt, we kept 2 credit cards (1 each) & we haven't paid a single penny of interest on them ever since. They are used for regular & planned purchases to build up points for loyalty vouchers & are paid off in full every month. We figured we'd paid quite enough interest over the Spendy Era, so now it's time for us to gain from the cards.
You'll feel more secure now you have some savings growing.

Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

@Elisheba, I have subscribed to your new diary 😊 but just wanted to sympathise and possibly suggest some strategies for managing the carbs at external events.

With the pizza, I would lift the toppings off one side of the pizza and eat them with forkfuls from the other half - so you eat all of the toppings but only half the base. Take a small discreet box of nuts and seeds to nibble on to fill you up.

With the church event could you contact the organisers and discuss with them that as you need to minimise your carbs for health reasons (completely true), could you bring a portion of pre-roasted veg with you to warm up in a microwave? Or speak to the caters to make suggestions to make one of the veggie options less carby - you might not be the only one struggling with it?

Thanks, @KajiKita That's a good idea for the wedding.  And I have asked with the church event if I can just have soup and a cheeseboard.  Yet to hear back, but fingers crossed!
