Thomas cook insurance

Following collapse of TC, the CAA have advised me over the phone that I will not be compensated for the £70 I paid for the single trip TC insurance I bought when paying my deposit for holiday due in June 2020. Has anyone had a similar response?

The insurance is still valid if you need it so you can use it. Its run by Whitehorse nothing to do with TC. Otherwise you can ring them up and they will change the dates to a different holiday you have. Or if you no longer have a holiday they will refund the money, they don't really like this option but i know customers who have had a refund.

You paid £70 for single trip insurance? I hope that was for at least 4 people at that price, and even that aint cheap.

I have always had annual policies but it’s got expensive so I am looking at single trip insurance and it’s more than £80 just for me.

That’s Worldwide cover with pre existing conditions, so £70 for 4 isn’t necessarily expensive
