Moneybox’s Cash LISA paying 1.4% is probably your best bet if you’re planning to use it for a house purchase. Stocks and Shares LISAs are a better bet for retirement but risky if you’re planning to purchase a house in the next few years as a stock market crash could wipe out some of its value.

I have just read Moneybox reviews and..... I would never ever open an account with them, their app is utterly full of flaws and customer service is a joke.
This is a no-no, I do not have time to deal with negligent financial providers.

Obviously it's entirely up to you how much notice you wish to take of review sites but perhaps worth noting that there are only four providers of cash LISAs, so if you don't like what you read about Skipton, Newcastle and Nottingham too then you'll have to abandon the idea....

How many times will you need to contact customer service or use the App? It's a savings account paying a good rate of interest. That's what matters. Everybody has personally experienced poor customer service at some time. Even from just buying in a shop. People are people.

The reviews of any financial institution are always pretty awful online since people don’t really bother to review unless something goes wrong. The reviews of all the high street banks are all awful since they are posted by people who have had accounts frozen, been defrauded etc

Have had LISA in Moneybox and no problems so far. With a LISA you only need to make one transaction a year so app, customer service etc won’t make much difference.
