When out today I saw several Average Speed Cameras I was wondering what happens if at at the point of pa\ssing a camera a large lorry is obsuring the view?

Would the camera not record?

or

Would it record much further back up the road?

If it can't see it can't record, did you really need to start a thread for that?

So if it can’t see you it would time-travel?

I think the OP means "would it use data from a previous camera?"

    I don't think so.
AFAIK, the cameras are paired, and timed between adjacent cameras (unless some are dummies)
There is no point timing between 1 & 4, 2&4 or 1&3 as if you travel between 1&2 or 2&3 or 3&4 too fast you would be speeding.

(I suppose if #3 misses you they could time between 2&4, it would only be a few lines of code and a bit more storage, but I doubt it, as cameras are infallible, so they won't even have considered it :D)
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

They’ve considered it all right: that’s exactly what the manufacturers describe!

I should say I have done nothing wrong to worry about them - I was just wondering about it.
