MBNA customer service not answering

Hello,

I have been trying to phone MBNA many times this week. I’ve tried at different times throughout the day but I can never seem to get through and can’t bear being on hold for more than 45 minutes.
Does anyone have any idea how long they usually take to answer calls?
I also used to be a customer a few years ago and has absolutely no issues getting through and always got through within 10 minutes so I wonder what has changed. Thanks!

  • No idea about the answer, but you are doing incredibly well to last 45 minutes! I hope it's a freephone number.

You say you used to be a customer which implies that you are no longer a customer which raises the question of why you are trying to get through to their customer services in the first place.
I called the general enquries number. immediate answer from computer. Did not proceed beyond that as was asked to state in my own words the reason for my call so I could be put through to the correct person. Perhaps the computer doesn't like or understand whatever reason you are stating. Try giving a different reason and see what happens.

Thanks for your message. I used to be a customer with them, closed my account then some time later ended up being a customer again.
After giving a reason, I have to enter all my card details then it continues to ring and say they are busy etc. But I’ll try a different reason and see what happens, thanks
