Ryanair different fares on same booking?

For life of me can't work out how to book 2 seats at different fares so we can share one hold suitcase? Or will I have to buy the seats separately?

Can you buy the two seats and add the case later in manage your booking?

In my experience, you should book the flights together, and then add any extras VIA THE APP. This allows you to add bags or go priority on an individual basis.
I have no idea why Ryanair won't allow this at the time of booking, but I suspect it might be to get less savvy customers to pay for hold bags for the whole party, even though only one of the party requires a hold bag. I'm sure there must be a more innocent explanation.
