Interparcel lost my parcel

Hi All,

Hoping somebody might be able to point me in the right direction, I'll try and keep this brief.

Back in March 2019 I sent a faulty Android tablet back to China using interparcel using a service which should have taken 4 days to arrive and cover for £50 loos/damage. The service cost £27.50.
After 2 months, it was decided the item could not be delivered so I requested it to be returned.
Since then, I have over 60 emails from interparcel telling me to wait a bit longer for more info and they never get back to me. They are refusing to admit the parcel is lost, even though they don't know where it is, it can't be tracked and they can't say when/if I will get it back. Because of this, I'm unable to make a claim for compensation or even get my shipping costs back.

I feel I have paid for a service and they have not upheld their side of the contract and instead are happy to fob me off every time I contact them.

What is my next move? Small claims court and is it worth it? Is there such a thing as trading standards?

I see on their social media and Trust pilot many other complaints. How can a UK company be allowed to carry on trading in this way?

Thanks in advance :)

  • Hi thanks for the reply.
I've made several complaints and their only response is they are looking in to it. They have been saying this since August last year.
They tell me its not possible to file a claim because they do not consider the item to be lost even though they can't tell me where it is or when it's going to be returned.
