National Express is the coach company! The drivers are employees... maybe some temp staff are contracted, but the majority are employees.
Next time you travel with them, have a look at the boot door near the passenger door: that will usually tell you which company owns/operates the actual vehicle you're boarding.
I've been on ones operated by companies from Manchester (212), Coventry (the likes of the 210 and 240) and even Birmingham - National Express West Midlands & Coventry are also part of the National Express group.1 -
I've just noticed the title change. If only half of you was kidnapped that sounds much more violent and serious. I'm surprised that you are in a condition to complain!

Even to someone possibly not familiar with the location, it should be fairly obvious as to whether the coach has arrived at Heathrow or not? It's rather different to Victoria...No free lunch, and no free laptop0

If the drivers no longer at the bus stop he's not legally allowed to either stop or let passengers off , both his licence and the company insurance forbid it.
Used to travel extensively by coach , lost count of the number of times people suddenly realised that the coach was pulling away and asked "can you just let me off here " to be told a flat "no" . Said passenger would normally get stroppy or panic but straight answer is they can get sacked for it .
These coaches are now covered entirely by camera's both inside and out so a full recording will be available , the driver would be incredibly stupid to forget that and do exactly what you said.Ex forum ambassador
