HSBC switch - no contact for 2 mths

I applied for a switch at the beginning of November. I called up before Christmas as was told I'd "hear in next couple of days" and still nothing.
Anyone else applied and not heard?

I applied Monday last week and got a confirmatory letter yesterday. Haven't had my phone banking details yet, although I've got my debit card and PIN
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

I had the same trouble with HSBC. Applied in October. Sent my proof of income in via branch. 6 weeks go by nothing. Phone up and they are not sure what’s happening 45 mins later they apologize. And I will hear further news in a few days. Well it’s Jan and I decided not to chase anymore as the whole experience was pretty poor. I won’t be putting 1p with them.

I got a monzo account in the end and couldn’t be happier. Took around 2mins to set up! The old banks are going to have to get there act together!
  • Several people had the same issue, if you chase them, it's very likely they will offer you some compensation for the troubles. Those people claim they have been given around £50-£100.

Not sure if I read that here or on reddit, but it was recently.

I applied yesterday got accepted (it was just the £75 switch incentive) standard account. My switch is set to happen 21st January, assuming as they told me all my stuff will arrive in the next few days, here's hoping.
