    Toasty Warm! :)
  • I went into my local Aldi today and they had lots of these tents left. Do you think it would be big enough, sleeping space and living space, for a family of 6 (2 adults, 3 small children and a baby)? We'd love to try camping but don't have a lot of money for buying the tent and equipment. We'd like to use it for weekends and maybe 1 or 2 weeks away. What do you think? Need opinions before I try and talk my hubby around.

    thanks :)
    Mum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)

Yes I think it would be big enough...and remember if you are not happy once you buy it, you can always return it for a refund...

Having two girls I know that as babies we had to drag around so much baby stuff... if think personally with a baby I would prefer the relative comfort of a caravan....

There is loads of ground area but it is worth remembering that the sides do sweep initially quite low.... so anything high... say a travel cot will touch the sides of the outer tent unless it is closer to the centre of the tent...

As I said give it a try you have nothing to lose because of the refund policy....

Being a largish family...with a baby it might be a good idea to ask for views here too... http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_forum_topics.asp?ForumID=3

I am reading this thread today 100805. I shop at Aldi every week and CAN'T BELIEVE I missed this one. I have been looking for a new tent for weeks now, as my tunnel tent is too small (height wise). I am kicking myself I missed this offer. I shall ask the Aldi Manager if they can get hold of any stock, as I am already sold on Aldi branded goods. I have full confidence in buying their goods. Oh I am SO mad !!!

HURRAH! Been shopping today and YES they still had some. Tucked away among the latest offers, I just had not noticed them,( as I train myself to only look at the food). I bought a blue one. I will let you know how I get on with putting it up. Have already put my old tent on ebay to claw some money back.

  • This tent looks good value, I'm going to see if our Aldi have any.

Can anyone tell me if the awning part of it stays open ended as the picture, or does it close to create another room?
  • I bought one today, very pleased with it.

Best thing though - they are now down to £59.99!
