I think the problem that the OP is alluding to is that it is difficult to replce the HDD due to it being an AIO.
I know that with some AIOs changing an HDD can end up as quite a task involving more than just undoing a few screws and is not something for the faint hearted/non technical to attempt.0 -

Really? I'm not so sure...Although I could install onto an SSD quite easily I would prefer to use the 1TB hard drive already in the machine.
It really depends on the specific model, which they have not revealed.
In addition it will give them the opportunity to run the install again with privacy in mind. Ticking the correct boxes to ensure maximum privacy and choosing a local account from the beginning.0 -

I think you might be right about a reinstall because although I have requested closure my MS account it will not close until March. This is the email I got from them
'Your account ....... has been set to close on 09/03/2020.
We're sorry to see you go. If you change your mind and want to keep using this Microsoft account, just sign in between now and 09/03/2020 to reopen it. All of your files, data and info will be just as you left them until then.
If you didn’t mark this account for closure, someone else did! Reopen your account and change your password.
Thanks,
The Microsoft account team'
I have had the account a few years but hardly ever used it so I have no problem losing any files.
Looking into it there are numerous traces of my account still there on the 'AllinOne' even though I have set up a local account with Administrator status for the person who is going to use it.0 -

As I am now going to do another reinstall without a MS account I will ask the end user if they want an SSD before I do it.
HP have quite a few different AIO's but this covers the one I am upgrading https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RvggCtXzHc0 -

Highly recommended, especially if you are not charging for the work. SSD and a cheap eBay upgrade to Windows 10 Pro(under £5).
I use Pro to defer feature updates for 150 days by default.0 -
Part of me now wants the OP to install an SSD so they can see the speed benefit for themselves.0
