    Morning all,
Seems quite a nice day today. Yesterday I really enjoyed my trip out on the bus to a local market town, it's a lot smaller than here but worth a look, and laid out in the streets. I got some meat for tea, and fruit & a few cyprus spuds, and everyone I spoke to was very friendly. I must do it more. Now I dont have elderly Auntie to pop up to and have a natter to, I 'm realising how much I miss her - I was always sure of a warm welcome bless her.
Today is DGC pick up from school day so no point doing too much tidying :D I did do our bedroom the other day which was a tip after DH being confined with his stomach bug, my Xmas card making and pressie wrapping detritus, not to mention a massive ironing pile that has now been dealt with !
I think our heating boiler is on the blink- realised it felt cold just before I went out yesterday.DH popped home for a quick look and had a mess with it and it fired up again, but today although it came on initially has now gone off again  I have the option of lighting the log burner but all the wood stored inside has now been used up so I'll have to load up from outside, ah well at least it's fine.
RR glad DD filed a complaint ,hope it deters him.
Bye for now - have a good day x

Been for my watery exercises. This time I tried my local'ish pool though won't be doing that again. Nice big 'enabled' room and easy access to the pool, however the drain for the shower in this room doesn't flow properly and I ended up paddling in the water. Ended up with damp knickers, soggy trousers and a grumpy mood. I had to sit in the cafe to put my socks and shoes on and even that turned out to be a challenge as the Soxon fell into the water so the socks got stuck!

To make me even grumpier when I told the receptionist about it she said 'oh, that always happens':mad: a warning word would have been useful.

Anyway, had a rigorous time in the pool and am back home. Need to feed DM before resting.

Sorry to read of sleeping/ household worries.

    Hi everyone,

    That sounds positive, Nelski.

Redruby, men like that are a nightmare, best wishes to your DD.

TA, good luck with the cat.

I have my very own naked cleaner! Steve is vacuuming in the altogether because he got too hot. Sadly, although he has no paunch or anything he is no Aidan Turner.

Laura, Brian and Esben left yesterday. I already miss the little guy although not for long because we are going down either tomorrow or Friday with the stuff they couldn't fit in the car. Tomorrow L & E have their 6 week check (at 9 weeks so won't be much good for the developmental stuff). The Dr's tried to push it back another couple of weeks as well but Laura made a bit of a fuss. We might then be going to see Little Women at baby cinema but that decision is still to be made.

The new lights for our dining room arrived yesterday so Steve might put them up today. He had to replace the disk server for our home network where everything gets backed up automatically as the old one had stopped working so January has been a bit spendy so far (I may also have bought a few clothes in the sales (oops).

Must get on, I started sorting though my sewing trolley yesterday so I want to get on with that and the shelves in there today.

Morning all from Day 2 in the Big Lurgy House! The cold is proceeding apace, now I have the constantly runny nose and spluttering coughing. TMI? I did take tablets, am waiting for them to kick in [my favourite NNurse ones...]

Yesterday was sausage and mash, today is going to have to be something very spicy. I'd like to make a bean stew but OH will not eat beans of any variety, which curtails my cooking somewhat. I love beans [ except baked beans] and would really like a borlotti bean stew...Think outside the box time....
It's quite mild today, no need for the woodburner yet, I need to get round to fixing the piece of decking I have as edging in the front garden [the two bits I screwed on to push it into the ground have snapped off]. I also need to get around to doing quite a lot of things really, just no energy today...
I sent a message recently through a website to contact the lady architect who does Your Home Made Perfect to see what she would charge for her work, but as yet, no reply...I love her work, what I've seen so far anyway...I'm not going to hold my breath...But I live in hope :)
I'm also trying to figure out a way to put a box of chocolates in the bin for the binmen next week.. I didn't realise they were coming round on new years day so didnt put my bin out with it's regulation one carrier bag of rubbish in it. I looked into last night and realised that they'd come onto to the drive behind the car and taken it out anyway, which I thought was really nice of them, it must have been the usual crew who know how much I put in because I've seen them just walk up to it, open the lid and take it out...Also have to find something for the postman, we;ve had the same one for a while now and he's lovely...

Gers, congratulations on ongoing stubborness to be well [and oh dear, they could have put a notice up couldn't they?]...and I hope your mum can get a boost of energy...Nelski, I hope you get good news from them! Speky, you put me to shame with all your excercise...TA, glad you're getting a companion cat, exepcially a soppy one :) ruby, hope the chat has the required effect but as above, may be worth looking into something a bit stronger..well done to her for getting out of it...Scarlett, parts of our house and garden are the same, I'm looking forward to getting out there with the pressure washer when it's warmer...LWW, what will you be starting now? I usually do my toms in March but it'd be good to get a head start on some things...Rosy, I likea good local market, whenever me and OH go somewhere, he ends up just chatting to all the stallholders....snoozer enjoy the sorting and the impromptu stripper :) Hey all reading along...TMI Tuesday!

  • Morning all. Sunny here after a gloomy start. DH has gone to get his hair cut and pay last month's Premium Bond cheque into the bank. We never get anything larger than £25 but I live in hope!

RR I hope the police warn DD's ex bf off but as Csarina says futher action might make you all feel more secure.

Gers yuk to local pool. Nelski fingers crossed.

    Have a good day folks.

Well, the stew is going ahead, all store cupboard ingredients and a bit of celery from the garden. He said he likes kidney beans, I told him pretty much all beans have the same texture [ harder/softer etc] so try it, and if he doesn't like it, he can have fish and chips... :)

    Hello all
I had a disturbed sleep last night...... over the road neighbour had his house alarm going at 1.30am. I was up and so were they, but none of us found anything amiss.
This morning we visited the cemetery and collected the xmas tree, put Mr Fix It's script in his surgery and then went on to Al*is. It was lovely and quiet in there :j. The lemonade has had a top up as we were down to our last bottle. I rang Dad last night, he was in a better mood and he asked me to buy him 3 as well, so I will take it up tomorrow.
I did a lot of decluttering yesterday, but there is still a lot left to do ( a cupboard in the office ) so that's on the cards for this afternoon.
I have no idea what to have for tea even though I've been shopping, I didn't give tea today a thought
Nelski I hope the work happens for you, I shall keep on being your cheerleader :T. As for showing solicitors how to knit  that should be fun as they are good at stitching people up ! I'll get my coat :D
RedRuby many hugs to you and your DD. I had a close friend who went through something similar. Their DD had to go to court to get an injunction as she had children, but I hope your DD's BF just backs off.
TA I'm jealous too. What colour is she ? I'm sure with time and your love and attention she will thrive.
Gers sorry about your horrible experience after your swim and  to the unhelpful staff member.
taff I thought NNurse meant nit nurse :rotfl:, I'm an embarrassment to myself ! Hope the lurgy disappears quickly.
Snoozer I hope little Esbens check up goes well.
RosyR I hope the heater is just a blip and doesn't cost too much to put right.
Speky please slow down with the exercise........ you've worn me out already :rotfl:
AOD we had to put a squirrel deterrent on our bird house as the blooming things would climb up it and eat everything. Some plastic bottles wrapped around the stand stopped them ! Now they jump from any bush and hope they land on the top
Right I've waffled enough and bored myself now. Goodness how much I must've bored all of you :rotfl:.
Take care and hugs to anyone in need.

Afternoon chums ,no sign yet of my new gt granddaughter as yet so its Due date plus 8 !!! I think she just doesn't fancy the weather :)

Had a quiet week so far ,generally just pottering I tried to get a Drs appointment but at the moment they are snowed under with folk being poorly, and full of the 'lurgy' so talking to the receptionist ,bless her I said it's not urgent.
I can wait a bit longer I really just need a referral to the physiotherapist for my shoulder which is still giving me problems ,but as the waiting list is long as well, I see no point in cluttering up the Drs surgery and sitting with folk who really are feeling ill.I will wait a couple of weeks and try again :)

My two DGS are off back to uni this weekend and the house will seem very quiet without them. DGS Mikey is deep into revision as he has his GCSEs in the spring.

I am just looking forward to the new little one and maybe some daffodils and the dark evenings going .I think January and February are horrible months. but 13 weeks to go next Monday and we will be off to our lovely IoW for our Easter break,so it will so whizz by.

Hope everyone is warm and dry .I have tried not to watch the news too much as that too is a bit depressing and the last day or so quite alarming as wellI hope things calm down a bit.

Eating out of my fridge and freezer and cupboards at least and saving my pennies for the forthcoming Easter break

Take care chums and be kind to each other

    Hi everyone
My daughter and little granddaughter got a bed at the hospital yesterday though they had to wait until 11.30pm for a room after arriving at 3. DD was absolutely shattered.
Little one pulled her feeding tube out this morning so they've spent the day putting it back in so she can be fed tonight. When I spoke to DD earlier they were waiting to go for an XRay to see if it's in the right place.
DD has no idea yet what will happen tomorrow, but hopefully they'll get some sleep tonight
