Sold my house, Land Registry won’t register new owner!

Hi,
I sold my house last year. My solicitor has been in touch as the new owner’s solicitor is having trouble registering it as they cannot prove my name change. I’ve been married twice and gave my solicitor my marriage certificate which displayed, my maiden name and previous married name. What do I need to do now? The sale already completed last year!

What does your solicitor say he needs?0 -
I think you should ask the solicitors what info / evidence they want - they must have some idea0

So it's still in your name?
Pop into a local estate agents. Re-market, and sell the property fast. You might need to offer a discount on the price to get it done quickly, but hey! you're still quids in!
(might be an idea to use a different solicitor....)0 -

Sounds like there is some discrepancy between the names shown on your Marriage Certificate and your name on the Title. It might be a small typo or middle name missing, or perhaps your Marriage Certificate was not certified as a copy of the original, but HM Land Registry will not update the register if something with your ID doesn't match. You need clarification on exactly what the problem is, so you can provide the necessary evidence. It would appear that your buyer's solicitor has been trying without success for the past year to get it registered in the buyer's name and they have had to revert back to your solicitor to help them.0
