Hall & hanley ppi

Hi there
It's been a good year or two since I got the ball rolling with this company to investigate into my PPI reclaims and nothing much has happened with it. I've recently had a questionnaire letter to fill in from Barclays bank and I remember H&H telling me not to fill these out but to get in contact with them instead. I've tried to call the phone number for H&H several times but it just cuts out, I have emailed them and had the email bounce back, their website is 'forbidden' as is their 'contact me' button on Facebook. Have these guys disappeared off the face of the earth?
Anyone else dealing with them?
Thanks
L

Hopefully not.
If you've made a complaint to Barclays, call Barclays.
The claims company won't know anything apart from whether they posted your form off. You need to do the legwork, as their payment is now guaranteed either way.0 -

Claim firms often used to tell customers not to engage with the Bank, but this was simply so it was not obvious how little they actually did for their exorbitant fee.
The good news is that, if the firm have indeed ceased trading you may well not be billed if your complaint is successful.
So just send the questionnaire to Barclays and ignore the Claim Firm's instruction.0 -
Hall and Hanley have recently been fined by both the ICO and the FCA. Spam texts and forged signatures being just two of the issues. (don't you just love CMC's?)
I would imagine that they may be trying everything they can to avoid paying these fines and so may well have disappeared!I work in Data Protection and spend my days dealing with CMC's. Only here trying to help!!0 -

As CMCs are now regulated by the FCA, you have the right to complain about anything you are unhappy about. Just as you do with the banks. So, if you are unhappy with the firm you can send a complaint to the address on the FCA register above. The complaints process is regulated. So, if it is not dealt with correctly you can contact the FCA about a potential breach. If the complaint is handled correctly but you disagree with the outcome you can refer it to the FOS.0
