How far can traffic light cameras see?

Hi there,
I have so much driving anxiety now that i am back at it after a years break.
This morning I safely went through a green light at a set of lights with a traffic light camera. However, at a different set of lights along the road from this camera, I had restricted viewing due to buses. Emphasis on the fact that the lights i accidentally went through the red at were at the next set along the road from the camera. So what I done may not have been visible to the camera as it was a little further away.
Sounds so stupid and i'll probably get mocked but does anyone think ill get caught for this?

Depends on the camera.
For speed cameras by the time you see them it is too late.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Red light cameras are only triggered if you pass the stop line at the lights where the camera when they are red. They do not cover lights further down the road. They need to take a clear picture of the vehicle over the stop line so they couldn't cover multiple sets of lights and do that.0

How far do you think they see? They see what they are monitoring, why would it be any thing else? Be more observant in the future.0

As I always say, if you've been recorded, whatever you've done wrong, then that's it. It's done
You'll know in due course what, if anything, will happen.
In the meantime all the worrying in the world will make no difference at all, except to make you feel worse about it.
Deal with stuff when it happens not before.
Try to be as careful as possible, and don't get distracted when driving.0 -
They can, as far as we know, see infinitely far, but a decent lower bound will be about ninety three million miles.Sophie123456 wrote: »Hi there,

In your case though you’ve no need to worry, they aren’t monitoring any lights further down the road.
For future, though, if your view is restricted, slow down and be ready to stop, the traffic can hide a pedestrian just as well as it can hide a traffic light.0 -
What way? Factually? If they wanted https://www.youjumpedaredlightbutitsok.com they should have gone there for hand holding. Stupid question, not that bad of an answer. Why is it necessary to reply in this way? The poster has had 8 posts so far.0
