We might go ahead with the combi but be wary of having them on the same time. Just as long as the worst case result is a loss in pressure/ cold water and not actually damaging the boiler through overuse
Toilet & wash hand basin?
No, it won't damage the boiler, just frustrate the two people trying to shower at the same time in different rooms!
You could always "shower with a friend"! Though maybe not the ones staying in the spare bedroom!0 -
I'd ask them if there is an option to change the boilerI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

Someone can use the WC or basin in the other whilst you are showering, surely?
Unless you're REALLY intimate with your guests ....0 -
If the boiler is right on the lower limit to run a single shower, then you are going to have problems if someone runs a hot tap anywhere else in the house while you are in the shower. So the answer is a bigger boiler as southcoastgirl suggests.
In a new house, all the costs are reduced to the absolute minimum by the builders, so it would be no surprise to find an undersized heating system. In my experience people do want to shower at specific times of day, so if there are two showers, you definitely want them both to work at the same time.0 -

Location.
We have 2 en-suite bedrooms and everything works well until both showers are used at the same time. Then both showers notice an annoying drop in pressure. But the benefits of having 2 en-suites outweigh the slight inconvenience of having to delay a shower very occasionally.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
