Hi all,
Finally bought our first house and completing on Friday. One of the things we want to do (amongst many!) is to get the locks changed.
We have 2 locks we want changing, the front door and rear door (UPVC) however not ultimately sure on the best locks to get. We want the locks to be as secure as possible.
Contacted a few locksmiths to get some ideas/quotes and one has quoted us £189 for 2 Ultion Locks. Done some research and Ultion Locks seem to be quite secure but not sure whether the price is reasonable or not as the manufactur does not publish prices online.
Watched few Youtube videos and seems straight forward to change locks yourselves but not sure what lock to go for hence asking here

Its easy to change the euro type locks you need to measure the distance with the screw in middle of door these are locks I fitted
https://www.abs-secure.co.uk/ didnt get them from them I think https://www.handlestore.com/blog/measuring-a-euro-cylinder-lock-barrel/0 -
I have the Avocet locks bought from Lockandkey.com very good service and clear ordering instructions on the site
They can supply the locks keyed alike, and do half locks for garage doors so every lock has the same key.
I have had no problems with these locks but the magnet in the key does tend to drag coins out of my pocket on to the floor sometimes0 -
We paid £150 for two Ultion Locks to our front and back door (Yorkshire).0
