Is it possible to extract a podcast from a website

Does anyone know of a way I can extract (I guess that's the right word) the podcast from a webpage, the exact webpage is here.
Ive tried various podcast apps (android) and they dont go back as far as 2015, Google podcasts/Podbean, Podcast Addict and Castbox have the first available episode as March 2018.
Reason Id like to be able to extract the file is everytime I pause the podcast I'm listening too (on the link I posted) I end up losing my place eg when I start work and have to restart it.
Am I asking for something that's impossible ?
Thanks

The cheaters way: audacity, BlueBerry Flashback (express or pro), obs studio etc, then there is Total recorder which captures streams.
VLC should be able to do it too? :Edit: After a quick fiddle, cant get vlc to handle it0 -
Yes, the long-winded way is to play it back into some kind of audio recorder and save in the file format you want (mp3, FLAC, etc), but with each being an hour plus, it seems, that will be a long process.0

Which browser do you use?
Here's how to do it in Firefox...
Click on the show/episode you want to save.
Press Ctrl+Shift+E (Ctrl+Shift+I works in Chrome) to go into inspect element mode
Press Play
Wait for something to appear called cdn2.talksport.com in the network tab then right click it and copy url
Then open a new tab and paste the url you have just copied
Then right click the page and save as. This will then download the whole mp3 to file0 -
Thanks. had a bash for fun, but I use slimjet.Which browser do you use?

Press Ctrl+Shift+I works in slimjet as it is chrome based. On the top tab select Network, and below
under the name field you will find the mp3 address and file, right click on it and copy. Paste that into vlc and it takes a few mins to get the 1:30 episode0 -
In Chrome,
Open podcast page, click on selected podcast
Right-click on page, select View page source
In page source code, use Find (Ctrl+F) to find "mp3"
There will be a web address with the mp3 file corresponding to the podcast
Click on this, and a new webpage should open with the mp3 file name in the web address
I got this far, but gave up at first - then saw the advice in #4 to Save as...
Right-click in the page, and Save as ..., and a dialog box opens, allowing you to save the podcast to your hard drive as an mp30 -
A download manager would do the job too. Just add the url & let it gather all the elements, including the MP3 track.0

Thanks for that, I use both Chrome and Firefox.
Was easy once I did it a few times but I found using a download manager much easier, but thanks for the tip, had no idea you could get the mp3 file using your method, I learn something new everyday.
Wish Id explored this months ago.VoucherMan wrote: »A download manager would do the job too. Just add the url & let it gather all the elements, including the MP3 track.
