Hi all,
Anyone that know how I can remove the metal mount cover of my toilet seat? I need to tighten it up and to access the screws I need to remover the cover. Any advise?
Thanks in advance.

Well it depends on the design I guess, any chance that you can post a photo?
Does the toilet seat lift off if you push a button or two near the hinge? If it does, once you have removed the seat you should be able to lift off the circular metal covers and that will expose the screws.0 -
The nuts are under the toilet and aren't covered.
Unless it's a design of toilet where the screws that hold the hinge go into a giant plastic plug with a nut at its far end that is inserted from above - and is covered by a round metal plate that comes off when you remove the seat.0 -
I've seen such designs, but they were 100% plastic.
I am not saying that you are wrong. Yes, this is possible.0 -
Hi,
if it's this type of hinge
you should be able to tighten wing nut from underneath.0
