for Greece & Turkey it's very near the end of the season when everything closes down! I remember having a very cold, wet week in Crete in late October.

Cape Verde? the western islands such as Sao Antao are interesting but I suspect the package tours only go to Sal or Boa Vista

    Senegal or The Gambia?

Friends went to Cape Verde earlier in the year and said it was very windy and little to do or see. :( They did enjoy seafood though. :)

I've only done historical trips to Egypt (Nile and Cairo) but resorts do seem to be coming back into favour. :)

I'd probably prefer to spend a fortnight in Grimsby rather than the 2 places I mentioned but the OP did ask for 'exotic beach resorts'.

I went to Eilat some years ago. It was like a cross between a concrete ski resort and a SAGA holiday. The only plus seems to be the diving. We only went for a week and managed to fit in the Dead Sea, Jerusalem and Cairo while we were there. Anything rather than stay in the resort.

I'll book Grimsby ASAP. 😁 Sounds like a good option. :rotfl:

I was going to suggest a place nearby ending in 'thorpe' but MSE censors it. :rotfl:

Apologies to anyone who lives in either place. ;)
