Hi I’ve just signed up to virgin media, today they came to install the cable up my driveway. I was out at the time and someone else spoke to them. I’ve been told that when they have checked the connection to our house has been missed when they laid the cable in our street. This was only a couple of months ago. I’ve tried calling the Indian call centre but get nowhere as they don’t understand my issue.
They have painted a green dotted line from my drive down the street and across the road to a grey box on the opposite side of the street.
Does anyone know if they will correct this issue by digging up the road as I really want the fast internet and if not how can I proceed in cancellation and get the hard check on my credit file removed.

What did Virgin say when you contacted them?0 -
Just that a engineer would be out today, I was trying to explain that the engineer had already been out and said there wasn’t a connection the house had been missed. It was a indian call centre and they weren’t understanding me. I had to wait for the engineer ����!♂️

If they painted a dotted line you can pretty much guarantee that's the path they'll be digging to lay the cable.0

They will connect you up to the supply, they will dig up the road under a Minor Street Works Permit/Notice, these are usually not held up by the Highway Authority, as Customer Connections often are waived in terms of statutory notice period, unless there is a clash with other works in the Highway.0
