Flight From Glasgow To San Diego

I have done a search for a flight from Glasgow to San Diego round about 29th September to 10th October but I can't seem to get a reasonably priced flight.
Could someone who is more competent than I am do a search for me please?
Thanks
Margaret

    Hi Margaret

a lot depends on what you call reasonable.

I tried https://www.traveljungle.co.uk and got £557.00 incl tax via Continental Airways (booked via Travelbag) with one stop.

    Hope ive helped.

don't forget to visit https://www.seatguru.com to help you get a bettrer seat and have a great tin in San Diego- it's a hell of a nice place to visit.

I managed to book flights going from Glasgow to San Diego for £370+tax at https://www.americanairlines.co.uk. Flights are via Chicago. The fare offered was not available to travel agents, only through AA's website. That was for June, but you can subscribe to AA's regular netsaver e-mails to keep an eye open for special offers for September.

    Hi Margaret

i've flown AA on several occassions and i try and use tme as much as i can. Sadly whilst steviemcg has found you a cracking fare, it unforunately does not apply for September.

One really good feature on the AA website is the 'flexible dates' button. Many contibutors here will tell you that by varying your departure days you can save a small fortune - using this feature on the AA website will save you rekeying the info again and again & may save you some money as well.
from the aa site you could leave on 27.09.05 and return on 10.10.05 and they would charge you £583.50 incl tax. if you play around with the dates you may be able to do it as a one stopper.

I am usually pretty good at this type of thing, but I could do no better than £550 per adult using https://www.airlinenetwork.co.uk

That's about the price for a return to Heathrow.

    Hi Margaret

I think that the airlinenetwork prices need tax adding on which will be about £60-£70.

What price are you hoping to pay as £557.00 on Continental seems reasonable to me (although you may disagree)

£490 with US Airways, changing in Philadelphia, on expedia or £430 to LAX if you don't mind a drive at the other end (just over 100 miles) They are the best I can see, but neither is particularily good IMO!

you're right. I've used airlinenetwork in the past and have been caught out when the price on the first screen gets taxes, airline fees & airline protection cover added to the final price.

I recently priced up some flights for myself and it was still the case that it was the screen 1 price and then plus extras. It is nice to see that they now quote a real price and it is a lesson for me to check, check and check again !

p.s they did still add £9.40 to the first screen price though !
